Intramuscular injection is the administration of the drug dose through the muscles, and there are a group of drugs that must be given in this way to give the correct pharmacological effect, such as: vaccines, antibiotics and some vitamins such as vitamin B12.
The nurse injects your drug directly into the muscle.
